Tribal court administrators are responsible for the operation and management of the tribal court, in accordance with the tribe’s laws, rules and other authorities in place. Court administrators are also responsible for ensuring the court staff is performing tasks in a uniform and consistent manner, also in accordance with the tribe’s laws, rules and other authorities in place. This session provides an overview of the importance of tribal court authorities, defines tribal court authorities that can govern the court and examines the significance of the court authorities’ effects on the positions of the court administrator and court staff.
